Welcome To the Outdoor Explorers Page.

When you join us for an outdoor explorers session we'll meet at a local park, popular locations include Cockington and Decoy. Cockington can be fully pram and wheelchair accessible by request, Decoy is always fully accessible.

We start the session with a walk, we take the pace of our slowest explorer often checking out climbing trees, little hideaways and muddy puddles along the way.

Children will climb, run, slide and splash their way along whilst grown ups get a chance to walk and talk with other parents, grandparents and care givers. It's relaxed, it's fun, spontaneous games of hide and seek, scavenger hunts and running races often happen along the way. Grown ups are recommended to bring spare clothes as we are fully outdoors in all weather!

We'll then find a spot to put down the tarpaulin to sit on for nature crafts these vary each week and often materials are collected on our walks. Once the craft is completed we'll head for a quick toilet break followed by games and seasonal songs. We then settle down for a vegan snack. Plenty for grown ups too, before we end with a story.

The stories are repeated over a series of weeks so children can get yo know the characters, the flow of the story and really immerse themselves in it.

Usually that's all we have time for!!
